In this study, our aim was to determine the relationship between pain, functional status and depression level inthe patients with shoulder pain and rotator cuff lesions. Forty-three patients with shoulder pain and having rotatorcuff lesion according to clinical examination and magnetic resonance imaging were evaluated. Visual AnalogScale (VAS) was used to determine the intensity of pain. The shoulder range of motion was measured by usinggoniometry. The functional capacity of patients was evaluated by Constant shoulder score. Beck DepressionInventory (BDI) was used to detect the depression level of patients. The mean pain level at night was 7.00±2.71,the mean pain level at rest was 5.34±2.48, pain level during activity was 8.46±1.48 according to VAS, and themean Constant score of patients was 39.91±9.72. The mean BDI score was 12.72±8.85 points. No signifi cantcorrelation was found between pain (at night, rest, activity), ranges of motion (fl exion, abduction), Constantfunctional scores and BDI points of patients. While high pain level and low functional capacity was detected inpatients with rotator cuff lesion, there was no correlation between pain, functional capacity and depression level.
