Bu makalede, Hz. Peygamberin resmi/tasvîri ile ilgili rivâyetler sened ve metin yönüyle incelenmiştir. Yapılan araştırmalar sonucunda Hz. Peygamber’in resmi ile ilgili ‘Ubâde b. Şâmit, Dıhye b. Halîfe, Cübeyr b. Mut‘ım ve Hişâm b. ‘Âs olmak üzere dört farklı sahabeden asli kaynaklarda on beşten fazla rivayet tespit edilmiştir. ‘Ubâde b. Şâmit ve Hişâm b. ‘Âs tarikıyle nakledilen haberlerin içerikleri uzun olup birbirine çok yakındırlar. Dıhye b. Halîfe ve Cübeyr b. Mut‘ım vasıtasıyla gelen rivâyetler ise kısa olup hem birbirinden hem de diğer iki sahabenin naklettikleri haberlerden farklı içeriklere sahiptir. Rivâyetlerin ortak yönü, çalışmanın isminden de anlaşıldığı üzere rivâyetlerde Hz. Peygamber’in tasviri ile ilgili bilgilerin yer almasıdır. Ancak bu haberlerden hiçbiri “sahîh” veya “hasen” derecesinde değildir ve 'Ubâde b. Şâmit ve Dıhye b. Halîfe’den nakledilen rivâyetlerin, kaynaklarda verilen bilgilere göre i'tibar dahi edilemeyecek derecede çok zayıf oldukları tespit edilmiştir.

In this article, narrations about images of the prophet regarding sanad and text has been analyzed. Following the research it concluded that narratives about the images of the Prophet have been identified by four narrator sahabes; Ubâde b. Ṣâmıt, Dıḥye b. Khalîfe, Cübeyr b. Mut'ım and Hishām b ‘Ās as more than fifteen different narratives in major sources. The content of the texts narrated by ‘Ubâde b. Ṣâmıt and Hishām b ‘Ās are long and very similar to each other. The narrations that come through Dıḥye b. Khalîfe and Cübeyr b. Mut'ım are short and have different contents from each other and from the passages that conveyed by the other two Sahabes. As it is understood from the name of the study, the common aspects of these narrations is that they are all about the information about the description of the Prophet. As a result of the investigation of the isnad, it was concluded that none of the isnad of these passages had a degree of "sahîh" or "hasen". In addition to that, according to the information given in the sources the narrations conveyed from ‘Ubâde b. Ṣâmıt and Dıḥye b. Khalîfe found to be too weak even doesn't worth to be taken into account.
