Abstract:

The Union newspaper, which is being removed by the National Turkish Demand Union, began its broadcasting life in Istanbul on July 2, 1933, with a total of 14 numbers removed and published its last number on August 4, 1934. The Union newspaper, which is being drawn up to strengthen the cohesion of heart, mind and faith among the youth, was in the forefront, especially with its nationalist speeches. Sometimes nationalist statements had even attracted the attention of the government, and sometimes they had been misleading with the government. The Union newspaper has written articles that sometimes include severe speeches about nationality, foreign policy, foreign capital companies, foreign schools, masonism and the developments within the country. In this work we have studied all the news of the Union newspaper. Through the published articles, the newspaper’s publication policy, the way and reactions to the subjects were tried to be revealed; the MTTB’s influence of the newspaper was revealed to the public.
