Öğretmenlerin Stres Kaynaklarının Belirlenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretmenlerin stres kaynaklarının belirlenmesine ilişkin görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, kolayda örneklem yaklaşımı kullanılarak araştırmaya dâhil edilen 12 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır.  Veri toplamak için yarı yapılandırılmış bir görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmacı verileri elde etmek için yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirmiştir. Görüşme formundan elde edilen ham veriler, veri analizinde kullanılmak üzere yöntemsel olarak hazırlanmıştır. İçerik analizi ile verilerin değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğretmenlerin görev stresine ilişkin kaynakları analiz edilerek, idareye ilişkin unsurlar, veli ilgisizliği ve baskısı, öğrencilere ilişkin faktörler, öğretmenlere ilişkin faktörler, çevresel faktörler, ekonomik sıkıntılar, eğitim içeriği ve öğretim metodu ve iş yükü temaları olarak sınıflandırılmıştır. İkinci olarak, iş yerindeki stres kaynaklarından kurtulmak için alınan önlemler arasında stres kaynağını yok saymak/uzaklaşmak, iletişim mesafesini ayarlamak, mesleki ve kişisel gelişimi artırmak, öğrencilere daha fazla vakit ayırmak ve okula gidişi azaltmak gibi önlemler yer almaktadır. Son olarak, öğretmenlerin iş yükünü azaltmak veya daha iyi yönetmek için yaptıkları öneriler arasında idarecilerin liyakatli olması, bürokratik baskının azaltılması, iş yükünün adil paylaşımı, ders programının düzenlenmesi, ekonomik iyileştirme, iş birliği ve kurumsal kimliğin oluşturulması önerileri bulunmaktadır.

Identification of Teachers' Stress Sources

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the opinions of teachers about the determination of stress sources. In this study, the phenomenological design of the quality research methods was used. The study group consists of 12 teachers who are involved in the research using the easy sampling approach.  A semi-configured conversation form has been used to collect data. The researchers conducted face-to-face conversations to obtain data. The raw data obtained from the interview form is methodically prepared for use in data analysis. Analysis of data has been done. According to the research results, the sources related to the teachers' job stress were analyzed, classified as the administrative elements, the lawyer's disinterest and pressure, the students' factors, the teachers' factors, the environmental factors, economic difficulties, the educational content and the teaching method and the workload themes. Secondly, the measures taken to get rid of stress sources at work include measures such as eliminating stress sources, regulating communication distances, improving professional and personal development, spending more time to students, and reducing school leaving. Finally, the recommendations that teachers make to reduce or better manage work burden include the recommendations that administrators are loyal, the reduction of bureaucratic pressure, the fair sharing of work burden, the organization of the curriculum, economic improvement, cooperation and the creation of corporate identity.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate teachers' views on determining the sources of stress. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in this study. The study group consisted of 12 teachers and parents who were included in the study using a convenience sampling approach.  A semi-structured interview form was used to collect data. The researcher conducted face-to-face interviews to obtain data. The raw data obtained from the interview form were methodologically prepared to be used in data analysis. The data were evaluated by content analysis. According to the results of the research, the sources of teachers' job stress were analyzed and classified into the following themes: factors related to the administration, parental indifference and pressure, factors related to students, factors related to teachers, environmental factors, economic problems, educational content and teaching method, and workload. Secondly, measures taken to get rid of workplace stressors include ignoring/avoiding the stressor, adjusting communication distance, increasing professional and personal development, spending more time with students, and reducing school attendance. Finally, teachers' suggestions for reducing or better managing the workload include the merit of administrators, reducing bureaucratic pressure, fair sharing of workload, organizing the curriculum, economic improvement, cooperation and establishing an institutional identity.
