Amaç – Bu çalışmanın amacı, asimetrik bilgi sorununun Türkiye bankacılık sektörü kredi piyasasına etkisinin araştırılarak kredi tayınlamasının Türkiye’de bankacılık sektöründe geçerliliğinin test edilmesidir. Bu amaç ile BİST BANKA(XBANK) endeksinde yer alan bankaların 2001-2019 yıllarına ait toplam kredilerin toplam aktiflere oranı ve takipteki kredilerin toplam kredilere oranı değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. Yöntem – BİST BANKA(XBANK) endeksinde yer alan bankaların 2001-2019 yıllarına ait toplam kredilerin toplam aktiflere oranı ve takipteki kredilerin toplam kredilere oranı değişkenleri kullanılmış ve bu değişkenler arasındaki ilişki ikinci nesil Dumitrescu and Hurlin Panel Nedensellik Testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular – Dumitrescu and Hurlin Panel Nedensellik Testi analizi sonucunda, incelenen dönem aralığında BİST BANKA (XBANK) endeksinde sıralanan bankalarca kredi tayınlamasına gidilmediği tespit edilmiştir. Tartışma – Ulaşılan bulgular neticesinde kredi tayınlamasının geçerli olmadığı tespitine varılarak asimetrik bilginin azaltılmasında gerçekleştirilen düzenlemeler, etkin risk yönetimi, kamusal düzenlemeler, iyi ve kötü müşterilerin tespitine yönelik sıkı uygulamalar ve kredi piyasası düzenlemeleri vb. faaliyetlerin önemli etkisi olduğu söylenebilir.
The aim of this study is to test the validity of the credit rating in the banking sector in Turkey by investigating the impact of the asymmetric information problem on the banking sector in Turkey. For this purpose, the ratio to the total assets of the total loans of the banks listed in the BIST BANKA (XBANK) index for the period 2001-2019 and the ratio to the total loans of the subsequent loans were used. Method - The ratio to the total assets of the total loans of the banks listed in the BIST BANKA(XBANK) index for the years 2001-2019 and the ratio to the total loans of the subsequent loans were used by the variables and the relationship between these variables was analyzed by the second generation Dumitrescu and Hurlin Panel Causal Test. The findings - Dumitrescu and Hurlin Panel Causal Test analysis found that in the period examined it was not to go to credit identification by banks ranked in the BIST BANK (XBANK) index. Discussions - Regulations implemented in reducing asymmetric information by finding that credit rating is not valid as a result of the findings, effective risk management, public regulations, strict practices for the identification of good and bad customers, and credit market regulations, etc. It can be said that the activities have a significant impact.
