Abstract:

This study aims to explore the relationship between the teaching skills of teachers in the 21st century and their dedication to the profession. Relational scan model was used in the research. The research was conducted with 370 teachers working in different branches in Turkey. Data collection tools have been used as "The 21st Century Teacher Skills Scale" and "The Teacher's Career Dedication Scale". In the analysis of the data, arithmetic average, standard deviation, t test, ANOVA, Pearson Collapse Moments Correlation Score and scale regression analysis were used. The research has found that teachers’ teaching skills and dedication to the profession are at a high level. The study found that women’s teachers have a higher level of profession dedication than men, but teachers’ profession dedication does not differ according to their desire to undergraduate education, school level and industry. The teachers who want to do postgraduate education and work in the primary school have a higher level of teaching skills. The study found that teachers with 1-5 years of experience and teachers with 16 years or more of experience had a higher level of dedication to the profession and teaching skills. In addition, it has been found that there are positive and meaningful relationships at the middle level between teachers’ dedication to the profession and teaching skills of the 21st century.
