Naşid Baylav (1903–1982) served at the Istanbul University School of Pharmacy, Pharmacognosy Institute until 1944, and carried out studies in the Society for Pharmacists for many years. In addition to this society, he was the owner, acting manager and one of the most prolific authors of Farmakoloğ, journal of the Turkish Pharmacologists' Association. Naşid Baylav attained a large professional archive and collection through his scientific knowledge. Some of the books in his library were donated to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacognosy by his family after his passing. In this collection, there is a total of 170 books in Turkish, French, German and English, which were about pharmacy and medicine, especially pharmacognosy and pharmaceutical botany. This study takes inventory and evaluates this collection in the Turkish History of Pharmacy Museum.
