Bu makale Demokrat Parti dönemi (1950-1960) Ankara’sındaki yerel siyaset üzerine odaklanmaktadır. Ankara’daki yerel siyaseti analiz amacına yönelik olarak dönemin ulusal siyasetini, siyasal gelişmeleri, yerel seçimleri, şehirleşmeyi ve sosyal yapıyı incelemektedir. Makale altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde 1950-1960 Ankara’sını etkileyen ulusal siyasete değinilecektir. İkinci bölümde Demokrat Parti’nin kuruluşu ve iktidara gelişi altı alt başlıkta incelenecektir. Üçüncü bölümde şehri etkileyen yasal değişiklikler ele alınacaktır. Dördüncü bölümdeki Ankara’da şehirleşme ve siyaset ise çalışmanın ana kalbini oluşturarak kendi içinde beş ana başlığa ayrılacaktır. Beşinci bölümde iktidar paylaşım sürecinde kentsel aktörler incelenecektir. Altıncı ve son bölümde ise Ankara’daki sosyal yapı ve dönüşüm konusuna İkramiye evleri örneği verilerek çalışma sonlandırılacaktır.
This article focuses on local politics in the Democratic Party period (1950-1960) in Ankara. The local policy in Ankara is aimed at analyzing the national policy of the period, political developments, local elections, urbanization and social structure. The article consists of six sections. The first part of the study will refer to the national politics that influenced 1950-1960 Ankara. In the second section, the formation and arrival of the Democratic Party to power will be discussed in six subtitles. The third section will discuss the legal changes that affect the city. In the fourth part, urbanization and politics in Ankara will be divided into five main titles in itself, forming the main heart of the work. In the fifth section, the power sharing process will be examined by the urban actors. In the sixth and last part, the work will be completed by giving an example of the Ikramiye houses on the subject of social structure and transformation in Ankara.
This article focuses on local politics in Ankara during the Democratic Party period (1950-1960). For the purpose of analyzing local politics in Ankara, it examines the national politics of the period, political developments, local elections, urbanization and social structure. The article consists of six sections. In the first part of the study, national politics affecting Ankara between 1950-1960 will be mentioned. In the second part, the establishment of the Democratic Party and its coming to power will be examined under six sub-headings. In the third part, legal changes affecting the city will be discussed. Urbanization and politics in Ankara in the fourth chapter will form the main heart of the study and will be divided into five main topics. In the fifth chapter, urban actors in the power sharing process will be examined. In the sixth and last chapter, the study will be terminated by giving the example of İkramiye Houses on the subject of social structure and transformation in Ankara.
