The purpose of this research is to test the theoretical model developed on the instrumental role of problem-solving skills in the relationship between motivation and life-satisfaction. The study was conducted with 420 university students. The data of the study: Adult motivation scale, problem-solving inventory and life-saving scale. In the analysis of the data, the correlation and structural equality model were used. It is also tested with a model of structural equality that is established for the role of the instrument of problem-solving skills in the relationship between motivation and life satisfaction. LISREL and SPSS programs have been used for analysis. Correlation analysis results have shown that there is a positive relationship between motivation and life satisfaction, that there is a negative and low-level relationship between students’ motivation and high life satisfaction and their self-deficiency perceptions of problem-solving. With the structured equality model, the ability to solve problems in the relationship between motivation and life satisfaction has been determined as a partial instrument. This finding draws attention to the role of problem-solving skills in the relationship between students’ motivations and life satisfactions.
