The aim of this study is to examine the effect of panopticon practices in the workplace on the cyberloafing behavior of employees. For this purpose, a quantitative research was conducted. The main body of the research consists of academic and administrative staff working at Bitlis Eren University. A sample of 303 academic and administrative personnel participating in the research with random sampling constitutes. The data obtained by the survey method were first analyzed in terms of reliability and validity with SPSS 25 and Amos 23 programs. Then, component structures of the variables were determined by exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Regression analysis was performed to test the hypotheses created as a result of the literature review. According to the analysis results It was seen that following information and negative panopticon had a significant effect on significant cyberloafing behavior. In addition, it was observed that negative panopticon had a significant effect on unimportant cyberloafing behavior. According to the research findings It can be said that employees continue their cyberloafing behaviors even though they have information about the panopticon and are uncomfortable with surveillance.
