En basit tarifiyle insanın isteyerek ya da zaruri olarak bir yerden bir yere gitmesi, yer değiştirmesi olarak ifade edilen göç kavramı tarih boyunca hem göçeni hem de göç edilen yerdeki diğer kişileri etkilemiştir. İnsanlık tarihi boyunca çeşitli gerekçelerle süregelen bu dalgalardan ülkemiz de etkilenmiş olup 2011 yılının Nisan ayından bu yana devam eden Suriyeli göçü bu etkinin en büyüğü olarak tarihimize kazınmıştır. Hal böyleyken göç alanı gerek sosyal hizmet gerekse diğer beşeri ve sosyal bilimler alanında ilgi çekici olmuştur. Pfiffner’a (2019) göre sosyal hizmet, yasal bağlamda talepkar bir faaliyettir ve bu bağlamda sosyal yardım, çocuk ve yetişkin koruma, zor yaşam koşullarındaki bireyler gibi farklı alanlar ve farklı yasal bağlamlar ile çalışılan bir meslektir. Bireyi; mikro, mezzo ve makro yönleri ile ele alan sosyal hizmet alanının bu konudaki konumunu belirlemek amacıyla yapılan bu çalışma nitel olarak tasarlanmış olup sosyal hizmet birikimindeki lisansüstü tezler YÖKTEZ (Ulusal Tez Merkezi) veritabanında incelenerek bir içerik analizi denemesi yapılmıştır. 2022 yıl sonuna kadar ortaya koyulan tüm lisansüstü çalışmalar kapsam dahilinde tutulmuştur. Bu bağlamda sosyal hizmet anabilim dalında kabul edilmiş olan toplam 447 tez çalışmasının mevcut olduğu, bunlardan 376’sının yüksek lisans, 71’inin doktora tezi olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Veri tabanı taranırken anahtar kelime olarak “Suriyeliler” sözcüğü kullanılmış olup anabilim dalı olarak “sosyal hizmet anabilim dalı” seçilerek tarama daraltılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmalar neticesinde konuyla ilgili yüksek lisans ve doktora tez çalışmalarının kaleme alındığı ancak doktora tezlerinin azınlıkta kaldığı, bazı üniversitelerde doktora programı olmasına rağmen tezlerde Suriyeliler ile ilgili çalışmaların bulunmadığı, ilk yüksek lisans çalışması Kaya tarafından, ilk doktora çalışması Güneş Aslan tarafından 2018 yılında kaleme alındığı ancak Suriyeliler ile ilgili yapılan diğer üstü çalışmalar incelendiğinde ilk çalışmaların 2013 yılında ortaya koyulduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Sosyal hizmet ve diğer alanların ortaya koydukları lisansüstü tezler incelendiğinde Suriyelilerle ilgili; Suriyeli göçmenler, Suriyeli sığınmacılar, Suriyeli mülteciler, Suriyeli sığınmacı ve mülteciler gibi farklı isimlendirmeler dikkat çekmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmacıların Suriyelilerin hukuki statüsünü dikkate alarak eserlerini ortaya koymalarının gerekli olduğu önerilmektedir.

Our country has also been affected by these waves, which have continued for various reasons throughout the history of humanity, and the Syrian migration, which has continued since April 2011, has been engraved in our history as the biggest of this effect. Nevertheless, the field of migration has been interesting both in social work and other humanities and social sciences. According to Pfiffner (2019), social work is a demanding activity in the legal context, and in this context, it is a profession that is studied with different fields and different legal contexts such as social assistance, child and adult protection, individuals in difficult living conditions. individual; This study, which was conducted to determine the position of the social work field, which deals with micro, mezzo and macro aspects, was designed qualitatively and a content analysis trial was conducted by examining the postgraduate theses in the social work accumulation in the database of YÖKTEZ (National Thesis Center). All postgraduate studies put forward until the end of 2022 are included in the scope. In this context, it has been understood that there are a total of 447 theses accepted in the social work department, of which 376 are master's and 71 are doctoral theses. While scanning the database, the word "Syrians" was used as a keyword, and the search was narrowed by choosing "social work" as the department. As a result of the researches, master's and doctoral thesis studies on the subject were written, but doctoral theses were in the minority, although there are doctoral programs in some universities, there are no studies on Syrians in the theses, the first master's study was written by Kaya, the first doctoral study was written by Güneş Aslan in 2018. When the other studies on Syrians were examined, it was concluded that the first studies were carried out in 2013. When the postgraduate theses put forward by social work and other fields are examined; Different nomenclatures such as Syrian immigrants, Syrian refugees, Syrian refugees, Syrian asylum seekers and refugees have drawn attention. In this context, it is suggested that researchers should present their works by considering the legal status of Syrians.
