Abstract Managers need employees who express their opinions. While employees who express their opinions and share their knowledge in organizations positively improve their business performance, employees who prefer to remain silent have a decreased sense of belonging and the intention to leave their jobs emerges. In this context, the aim of the study is to examine the impact of organizational silence levels of hotel business employees on their turnover intentions. The research was carried out with 194 people working in the food and beverage department in 3, 4 and 5 star hotel businesses operating in Konya province. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant relationship between organizational silence and turnover intention. When looking at the sub-factors of organizational silence, acquiescent and defensive silence is related to turnover intention, the prosocial silence is not related to turnover intention. It has been determined that organizational silence explains the intention to leave by 11.6%.
