Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the literacy levels of the education program of the instructors who teach Turkish as a foreign language. In the research, relational scanning model, one of the quantitative research models, was used. The sample group of the study consists of 240 teachers who teach Turkish as a foreign language. Participants in the study are over 20 years old and their education level is at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Education Program Literacy Scale was used to collect data in the study. Descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and coelation analysis were used to analyze the data obtained from the research. Teachers participating in the study who teach Turkish as a foreign language see themselves as literate in the curriculum, and consider themselves competent in the dimensions of the objectives, content, learning-teaching process and evaluation, which are the components of the curriculum. There is a significant relationship between the gender, age, education level of teachers teaching Turkish as a foreign language and education program literacy levels.
