Abstract:

Purpose: For newborn mothers, the end of birth period is the time of physical, emotional and social changes that affect the mother’s quality of life. This study was carried out with the aim of evaluating the quality of life of the mothers at the end of birth and testing the validity and reliability of the Turkish form of the End of Life Scale. Method: The methodological type of study is a sample of 200 births. After the translation process, the validity of content (expert opinion) and structural validity (verifying factor analysis and known group validity) in terms of validity, internal consistency in terms of reliability and material total score correlations have been studied. Results and results: In the analysis of the factor of the Turkish scale, the factor load ranges from 0.41 to 0.80. In the verifying factor analysis, the structure of five factors has been verified. According to the scale total score, the Cronbach alpha reliability ratio is 0.95 and the total score correlations are 0.435-0.717. The Turkish form of the End of Life Quality Measurement is a valid and reliable tool in evaluating the quality of life in women who have given birth.
