The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of teachers about the effective school characteristics. In this study, the phenomenological design of the quality research methods was used. The study group consists of 14 teachers who are involved in the research using the easy sampling approach.  A semi-configured conversation form has been used to collect data. The researchers conducted face-to-face conversations to obtain data. The raw data obtained from the interview form is methodically prepared for use in data analysis. Analysis of data has been done. When the opinions of participants were examined, it turned out that the most important needs of students were communication and cooperation, the educational environment and support. Respect, love, mutual confidence and communication, tolerance and level were determined as important factors for the effectiveness of the teacher-student relationships. The most important tasks of teachers are student-centered teaching, effective educational-learning activities, classroom management and student relationships. The importance of planning needs and using teaching methods in the school has been emphasized to respond to the different learning needs of students.

Content analysis was used to evaluate the data.  When the opinions of the participants were analyzed, it was revealed that the most important needs of the students were communication and cooperation, educational environment and support. Respect, love, mutual trust and communication, tolerance and level were identified as important factors for effective teacher-student relationships. It was emphasized that the most important duties of teachers are student-centered teaching, effective teaching-learning activities, classroom management and student relations. The importance of using needs planning and teaching methods to respond to the different learning needs of students in school was emphasized.
