Özet:

After the World Health Organization announced a global epidemic (pandemic) on 11 March 2020, different surgical branches have suggested that it is possible or not to delay the conduct of non-urgency surgical operations described as optional. Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialization Branch performs both reconstruction and aesthetic surgeries and the surgeries in which these two concepts enter each other. The delay for the following three months after the announcement of the pandemic of non-urgency and can be delayed surgeries has led to an increase in the number of delayed events and the addition of new events. As in many countries in our country, the decrease in the incident of COVID-19 according to the ministry’s data has increased both the steps of return to normal life and has caused expectations on the conduct of operations that will not be urgent and can be delayed but will have a positive impact on the psychosocial state of people. Aesthetic surgery is urgent and can be delayed. Implementing the recommendations of both the ministry and specialized organizations is very important, especially in order to prevent irreversible results in these surgeries. Since aesthetic surgeries cannot deny the positive effects of a person on both his own social environment and inner perception, this study has discussed the measures to be taken before and after aesthetic surgery and how to start these surgeries.
