Toplumsal bir varlık olan insan, varlığını sürdürebilmek ve toplumda yer edebilmek için mevcut şartlar içerisinde diğer insanlarla etkileşim içerisinde olmaktadır. İnsanın hayatı anlamlandırmasıyla doğrudan ilişkili olan iletişimin geleneksel anlamda temel unsurunu dil oluşturmaktadır. Bu manada bireyleri ikna etmede ve onlardan beklenilen tutum ve davranış değişikliğinin oluşmasında dil, önem arz etmektedir. Ancak gelişen teknolojiyle birlikte kitle iletişim araçları da gelişmiş özellikle “yeni medya” denilen ve iletişime yeni bir boyut kazandıran kavram literatürde yerini almaktadır. Modern çağda internet kullanımının yaygınlaşmasıyla toplumların iletişim biçimleri de değişmektedir. Teknolojik gelişmelere paralel olarak kitle iletişim araçları da gelişmekte ve bu araçlar, bireylerin hayatlarında önemli bir yer edinmektedir. Medya; çağımızda herhangi bir fikrin yayılması, propagandasının yapılması ve insanlar üzerindeki etkisinin arttırılması için oldukça etkin kullanılmaktadır Özellikle internet ve medya araçlarındaki gelişmeler, milyonlarca insanın etkileşime geçebilmesine olanak sağlamakta dolayısıyla yeni medya ürünlerinin etki gücünün tartışılmaz bir gerçek olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Hal böyle olunca kişiler ve bazı gruplar, bu ürünleri kendi çıkarları ve hedefleri doğrultusunda kullanmaktadırlar. İletişim teknolojilerinin gelişmesiyle dijitalleşen; bilgisayar, tablet, telefon gibi aygıtlarla çevrim içi etkileşimi sağlayan yeni medyanın sanal uzamları toplumun vazgeçilmezleri arasında yerini almaktadır. Yeni medyanın en önemli tüketim ürünlerinden olan dijital oyunlar bu noktada dikkat çekmektedir. Dijital oyunlar, toplumun büyük çoğunluğu tarafından ilgiyle takip edilmekte ve oyunların kullanıcı sayısı gittikçe artmaktadır. Özellikle gençler, boş zamanlarını geçirmek ve eğlenmek için dijital oyunlara rağbet göstermektedir. Dijital oyunların genç nesiller tarafından ilgi çekiyor olması, ideolojilerin hedef kitleye ulaştırılması noktasında önemli bir araç olarak görülmektedir. Hâkim güçler, verilmek istenilen bir fikir veya fikir akımını dijital oyunlara açık veya gizli şekillerde yerleştirerek ideolojilerini hedef kitleye ulaştırmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, genç kuşakların en çok oynadıkları dijital oyunlardan olan Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) oyunu, örnek olarak ele alınmaktadır. Oyunun içerik analizi yapılarak hangi ideolojik mesajların yer aldığının irdelenmesi çalışmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır.

In this sense, it is important to persuade individuals and to form the attitude and behavior changes that are expected from them. However, along with the advanced technology, mass communication tools are also developed in literature, especially called "new media" and the concept that brings a new dimension to communication. In the modern era, with the spread of the use of the internet, the forms of communication of the communities are also changing. Parallel to technological developments, mass communication tools are also developing, and these tools take an important place in the lives of individuals. Media is used very effectively in our time to spread any idea, to make propaganda and to increase its influence on people In particular, the developments in the internet and media tools reveal that the influence of new media products is a controversial fact, making it possible for millions of people to interact. When this happens, individuals and some groups use these products in accordance with their own interests and goals. The virtual extensions of the new media, which is digitalized with the development of communication technologies; which provides online interaction with devices such as computers, tablets, phones, are among the indispensables of society. The digital games, which are the most important consumer products of the new media, are attracting attention at this point. Digital games are traced with interest by the vast majority of society, and the number of users of games is increasing. Especially young people, despite digital games to spend their free time and have fun. The fact that digital games are attracted by young generations is seen as an important tool in the point of bringing ideologies to the target audience. The judges are putting an idea or a flow of ideas to be given in the digital games in open or secret forms to their ideology to the target audience. In this study, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is one of the most popular digital games played by young generations. The analysis of the content of the game is the main objective of the study.

Digital games, one of the most important consumer products of the new media, draw attention at this point. Digital games are followed with interest by the majority of the society and the number of users of the games is increasing. Especially young people prefer digital games to spend their free time and have fun. The fact that digital games attract the attention of young generations is seen as an important tool for conveying ideologies to the target audience. The dominant powers transmit their ideologies to the target audience by placing an idea or a stream of ideas that they want to be given to digital games in open or hidden ways. In this study, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) game, one of the most played digital games by younger generations, is considered as an example. The main purpose of the study is to examine which ideological messages are involved by analyzing the content of the game.
