Adil Erdem Bayazıt was an artist who gained a significant foothold in the recent era Turkish literature. He not only was involved in artistic activities but also was a man of many parts having an active role in political, cultural, and social fields. Bayazıt internalised the arts in Maraş, the city of poets and writers, in the shade of important literary figures, his teachers, friends, and the war-torn economy. This paper includes a review of Erdem Bayazıt’s thoughts on poetry through Orhan Okay’s poetic classification. According to Okay, main parts of poetics in the first plan are “descriptions, deixis, language, interpenetration of arts, internal structure/context and reader of poetry”. We tried to put forth the poetics of Erdem Bayazıt within the frame of this plan
