Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı makroekonomik değişkenlerin hedge fon getirilerine etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaç çerçevesinde 2009-2018 döneminde faaliyet gösteren, 10 yıllık kesintisiz verilere sahip 459 hedge fon ve 12 ülkenin makroekonomik değişkenlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada hedge fonların getirileri bağımlı değişken, büyüme oranları, cari işlemler dengesi, döviz kurları, enflasyon oranları, faiz oranları, gayri safi yurt içi hasıla, işsizlik oranları, petrol fiyatları bağımsız değişken olarak kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında büyüme oranları, enflasyon oranları ve petrol fiyatlarının hedge fon getirilerine negatif etkisinin, cari işlemler dengesi, gayri safi yurt içi hasıla ve işsizlik oranlarının ise pozitif etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
