People benefit from plants for various purposes around their geographies. The ethnobotanical discipline studies all the relationships between humans and plants. Since beekeeping activities take place in the triangle of plant-bee-human, that should be evaluated together with ethnobotanical studies. As a result of the review of 112 ethnobotanical studies published between the years of 1990 to 2020 in Turkey, twenty-nine of them containig information within the scope of traditional apicultural activities. The evaluation was carried out in two categoies: the plants used by bees for collecting nectar, pollen and other substances, and the use of plants in apicultural activities. As a result, 50 plant taxa were recorded as pollen and nectar sources, 1 taxon was recorded as propolis and 1 taxon was recorded as pollen, nectar and propolis. 11 plant taxa were recorded in terms of other apicultural activities mainly as beehives and honey laths. 52 plant taxa belonging to 24 families were specified. The most common families were Lamiaceae (14 taxa), Asteraceae (6 taxa), Boraginaceae (5 taxa), Fabaceae (4 taxa) and Ericaceae (3 taxa) respectively. The results of the study contribute to the traditional apicultural activities potential of our country.
