Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının çocuğa şiddete yönelik duyarlıkları ile empatik eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkiyi farklı değişkenlere göre incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu, 2018-2019 akademik yılı bahar döneminde İç Anadolu’da bir devlet üniversitesinde bulunan 350 Eğitim Fakültesi 4.sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, öğretmen adaylarının çocuğa yönelik şiddete duyarlıklarını belirlemek için Özyürek (2017) tarafından geliştirilen ‘’Çocuğa Yönelik Şiddete İlişkin Duyarlık Ölçeği’’ ve empatik eğilim düzeylerini belirlemek için Dökmen (1988) tarafından geliştirilen ‘’Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği’’ kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının çocuğa yönelik şiddete duyarlıklarının ve empatik eğilim düzeylerinin yüksek düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca öğretmen adaylarının çocuğa yönelik şiddete ilişkin duyarlık düzeyleri cinsiyet, bölüm, kardeş sayısı ve konu ile ilgili eğitim alma durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterirken empatik eğilim düzeyleri bölüm, kardeş sayısı ve konu ile ilgili eğitim alma durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermektedir.
The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the sensitivities of the teacher candidates to child against violence and their empathic tendencies by different variables. The sample group of the study consists of 350 School of Education 4th-class students located in a state university in Anatolia in the 2018-2019 academic year spring period. The study used the “Sensitivity Measurement for Violence Against Child” developed by Özyürek (2017) to determine the sensitivity of teacher candidates to child and the “Sensitivity Measurement” developed by Dökmen (1988) to determine the levels of empathic tendencies. The research has found that the teacher candidates have a high level of sensitivity to violence against children and empathic tendencies. The levels of sensitivity of the teacher candidates to violence against the child also differ significantly according to the variables of gender, section, number of brothers and sisters and the subject-related educational status; the levels of empathic tendency, section, number of brothers and subject-related educational status differ significantly according to the variables.
