Bu araştırma, öğretmenlerin “hizmet içi eğitim” çalışmalarına ilişkin görüşlerini, metaforlar aracılığı ile ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde İstanbul ili Küçükçekmece ilçesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan ortaokullarda görev yapan toplam 125 branş öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmenlerin “Hizmet içi Eğitim” kavramına ilişkin yükledikleri metaforik anlamların ortaya çıkartılıp incelenmesini sağlayan bu çalışmada, nitel araştırma modellerinden olgubilim (fenomenoloji) deseni kullanılmıştır Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu bir uzmanın görüşü ile hazırlanmış ve katılımcılara uygulanmıştır. Öğretmenlerden “Hizmet içi Eğitim………...benzer, çünkü…………..” ifadesindeki boşlukları tamamlamasıyla elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların ürettiği metafor aynı olsa bile nedeni farklı olabileceğinden “çünkü” kısımları dikkatle incelenmiştir. Bu formdan elde edilen cevaplar nihai olarak araştırmanın veri kaynağını oluşturmuştur. Araştırma sonucuna göre 125 öğretmen ‘hizmet içi eğitim’ algısına ait toplam 109 metafor üretmiştir. Öğretmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğu tarafından üretilen yedi metafor sırasıyla; “ağaç”, “askerlik”, “format atma”, “gıda takviyesi”, “güncelleme”, “güneş”, “kaptan” olduğu görülmüştür. Bu metaforlar benzer özelliklerine ve gerekçelerine göre 8 kategoriye ayrılmıştır. Bu kategoriler incelendiğinde, hizmet içi eğitim çalışmalarına ilişkin, öğretmenlerin bazılarının olumlu, bazılarının olumsuz yönde algıladıkları, bazılarının ise kararsız kaldıkları görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin ürettikleri olumlu metaforların sayısının diğer kategorilerdeki metaforların toplamından daha fazla olduğu çıkan sonuçlar arasındadır. Öğretmenlerin hizmet içi eğitim çalışmalarına yönelik çok sayıda farklı algılarının olması ise öğretmenlerin hizmet içi eğitim çalışmalarına yönelik değişik bakış açıları ve tutumları olabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır.
This research aims to reveal the opinions of teachers about the work of "in-service education" through metaphors. The study’s work group consists of a total of 125 branches of teachers who work in secondary schools located within the limits of Istanbul or the district of Küçükçekmece during the spring period of the 2018-2019 academic year. In this study, which allows teachers to identify and study the metaphoric meanings they upload about the concept of "In-Service Education", the design of the quality research models has been used by the phenomenology (fenomenology) as a data collection tool, the semi-configured conversation form has been prepared with the opinion of a specialist and applied to the participants. The teachers are the same as the teachers are the same as the teachers are the same. "In the process of processing the data obtained by completing the spaces in the statement, the content analysis technique has been used. Even if the metaphor produced by the participants is the same, the "because" sections have been carefully studied because the reason may be different. The answers obtained from this form eventually formed the data source of the research. According to the study, 125 teachers have produced a total of 109 metaphors of the perception of 'in-service education'. Seven metaphors produced by a large majority of teachers have been shown to be, respectively, “the tree”, “the armor”, “the shape”, “the food supplement”, “the update”, “the sun”, “the captain”. These metaphors are divided into 8 categories according to similar characteristics and reasons. When these categories are examined, it has been shown that some of the teachers are positive, some negative, and some uncertain about their work in service. The result is that the number of positive metaphors produced by teachers is greater than the total of metaphors in other categories. The fact that teachers have a number of different perceptions about the work of education in service shows that teachers may have different perspectives and attitudes towards the work of education in service.
