Sözcükler, dil bilgisi kurallarını anlamlı hâle getirmekte ve öğrenenin başkalarıyla iletişim kurmasını sağlamaktadır. Yabancı dil öğretiminde sözcükler söz konusu olduğunda “Neyi, ne kadar, ne zaman öğreteceğiz?” gibi sorular akla gelmektedir. Araştırmacılar, ilk olarak dildesık ve yaygın olarak kullanılan sözcüklerin öğretilmesi gerektiğini belirtmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada “Yabancılar için Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki sözcüklerin kullanım sıklığı ve yaygınlığı nedir?” sorusundan hareketle yabancılar için Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alan sözcükleri, bunların kullanım sıklığını ve yaygınlığını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla tarama modelinin kullanıldığı ve betimsel (nicel) analizin temel alındığı çalışmada Gazi, Yeni Hitit ve İstanbul yabancılar için Türkçe öğretim setlerinde yer alan A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 seviyelerinde olmak üzere toplam 15 Türkçe ders kitabında yer alan sözcükler incelenmiştir. Yabancılar için Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alan sözcüklerin kullanım sıklığı ve yaygınlığının incelenmesi sonucunda derslerde öğretilmesi hedeflenen sözcükler konusunda Türkçe öğretim setleri arasında ortak bir anlayışın bulunmadığı belirlenmiştir
Words make language knowledge rules meaningful and make it possible for the learning to communicate with others. When the words in foreign language teaching are concerned, "What, how much, when will we teach?" Questions come to mind. The researchers point out that first language and commonly used words should be taught. In this context, in the study "What is the frequency and frequency of use of the words in Turkish lessons for foreigners?" Through the question, the words in the Turkish curricula for foreigners are intended to identify their frequency and frequency of use. For this purpose, the scanning model was used and the visual (nical) analysis was based on the study that examined the words in the total 15 Turkish curricula books, including the A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 levels, which are included in the Turkish teaching sets for Gazi, New Hit and Istanbul foreigners. The study of the frequency and prevalence of the words included in the Turkish curriculum books for foreigners resulted in the fact that there was no common understanding between the Turkish curriculum sets about the words aimed at being taught in the courses.
