The aim of the research is to define the effects of Jigsaw technique on academic success, considering names, adjectives, adverbs and pronouns samples the word types in the teaching of grammer. With the scope of this research, an experimental study suitable to “the model of pre-last testing with checking group” was done in a primary school in Agri. In this research as a gathering information tool “ The Scale of Identifying the Effectivenes of Jigsaw Technique in Teaching of Word Types” was used. Aiming at identifying the meaningfulness of data of gathered information from the study, with the help of the SPSS statistics programme, the tests of Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed Order Differece were applied. As a result of the research, it is idendified that there is no differece between the students of experiment and checking groups; so, it is identified that success of the groups which were applied both Jigsaw technique and teacher centered teaching, are similar
