Folk narratives reflects a society’s beliefs, traditions, view of life. From past to now these narratives which are very important sources of oral culture period, have been shaped by the values of society and societal acceptance. The position of heroes which takes place of in a narrative, the definition of their status is the result of these acceptance. When the hero of a sacred story in myth, displays bravery with extraordinary power and abilities in epics, s/he transforms to the heroes who are adaptable to the life conditions of realist world in folk stories. Status defines the position or situation of hero in a text. Around this position or situations, the features of hero both contributes to improve the explanations/interpretations of folk about life, and embody the cultural creation and folk beliefs by narratives. In this article, the status of first degree heroes in narratives had been analyzed by the help of their positions and situations in mythologies, epics and folk stories. In this frame, three example for each of concatenated folk literature species had been chosen. Three God heroes in mythologies; executive heroes who often give their names to narratives in epics; three heroes as male hero, female hero and the families of heroes in folk stories had been scrutinized in terms of their status.
