Health, while the source of welfare for individuals is also an important determinant of economic growth. Health which plays an important role in the formation of human capital, contributes to economic growth by increasing the productivity of the individual. In this study, the relationship between health expenditures and economic growth has been investigated for 54 upper-middle income countries, in the period covering the years 2000-2013. Accordingly, the impact of total health expenditure, public and private sector health expenditure on the economic growth was tested using panel data analysis method. According to the findings; the increase in total health expenditures, public and private sector health expenditures are affected economic growth positively in the upper middle-income countries.
