Boşanma artık günümüzün önemli toplumsal sorunlarından biri haline gelmiştir. Toplumsal değişme ile bireylerin bakış açılarındaki değişmeler, boşanmaya olan bakış açılarında da bir değişime yol açmıştır. Eskiden hoş görülmeyen boşanma günümüzde sıradan bir hale gelmiştir. Boşanmayı erkek ve kadının yaşam birliğini sona erdirmesi olarak kısaca tanımlayabiliriz. Bu birliğin sonlandırılmasında kadınların etkilendiği gerçeğinin yanındaki diğer bir gerçek de erkeklerin de bu süreçten kadınlar kadar etkilendiğidir. Türkiye genelindeki boşanma oranları göz önünde bulundurarak Elazığ ili ile paralelliği, Elazığ ilinde erkeklerin boşanma nedenleri, boşanmalardaki artış sebepleri tespit edilerek boşanan erkeklerin sosyo- kültürel yapıları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla Elazığ Adliyesi 2008-2010 karar kartonlarındaki kayıtlara başvurulmuş, davacı tarafın erkek olduğu 300 dava incelenmiştir. Bununla birlikte elde edilen resmi rakamları desteklemek veya çürütmek amacıyla boşanmış 10 erkeğe derinlemesine görüşme tekniği uygulanmıştır. Görüşme yapılan erkeklerin evliliğe bakış açıları, evlilikten beklentileri, boşanmaya götüren nedenler, boşanma süreci ve boşanma sonrası yaşadıkları problemler ve yeni hayatlarına geçiş süreçleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Görüşme yapılan kişilerin yaş, meslek, ekonomik durum, eğitim durumu ve yaşadıkları sosyo-kültürel ortamları birbirinden farklı seçilerek araştırmanın etki alanı geniş çerçevede ele alınmıştır. Türkiye genelinde erkeklerin boşanmaya bakışı, boşanma süreci ve sonrasında yaşadıkları sorunlar üzerine eğilen sosyolojik bir çalışmaya rastlanılmamıştır. Araştırma sonucunda boşanmanın kadın ve çocuk kadar erkek için de yıpratıcı bir süreç olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Divorce has become one of the major social problems of today. The social change and the changes in individual views have also led to a change in the views of divorce. Previously unpleasant divorce has become usual today. Divorce can be defined as the end of the man and woman’s union of life. Another fact, along with the fact that women are affected by the end of this union, is that men are affected by this process as much as women. Considering the rates of divorce throughout Turkey, the parallelity with the Elazığ region, the reasons for the divorce of men in the Elazığ province, the increased reasons for the divorce, the social and cultural structures of divorce men have been tried to determine. For this purpose, the Court of Justice of Elazığ 2008-2010 filed in the records of the card of decision, and the prosecutor's 300 cases were examined as a male. However, a deep-interview technique has been applied to 10 divorced men with the aim of supporting or distorting the official figures obtained. The interview focuses on the men’s views of marriage, their expectations of marriage, the reasons leading to divorce, the divorce process and the problems they experience after divorce and the processes of transition to their new lives. The age, occupation, economic status, educational status and socio-cultural environments in which they live were selected differently and the field of influence of the research was discussed in a broad framework. In all of Turkey, there has been no sociological study of men’s view of divorce, the divorce process and the problems they have experienced after. The research has found that divorce is a destructive process for men as much as women and children.
Divorce has become today's one of major social problem. Changes in perspectives of individuals with social change, divorce has led to a change in the angles. Divorce has become commonplace today, the past, were unwelcome. Divorce is described as to end the unity of life in men and women. The fact that a woman affected by the termination of the league, another fact is the men affected as much as the women. Considering the divorce rate in Turkey with the parallelism of the province of Elazig, the divorce causes of men in Elazig province and the increase of divorce rate determined and socio-cultural structure of divorced man in Elazig was tried to identify. For this purpose, applied to Elazig Courthouse records, 2008-2010, 300 cases that the appellant's were men was investigated. Support of or against the official figures, interviewed with 10 divorced male in-depth interview technique. Perspectives of the men interviewed marriage, marriage expectations and the leading causes of divorce, the divorce process and the transition into a new life after divorce and focused on their issues. The interviewed people age, occupation, economic status, educational status and their socio-cultural environments by selecting different domain within the larger context of research are discussed. There is no sociological study focusing on the view of men on divorce, divorce process and the issues after divorce in Turkey. The end of the study it has been concluded that the divorce is a drawn-out process for men as women and children.
