İşletmelerde Kurumsal İtibar, Kurumsal İtibarın Yönetilmesi Ve Ölçülmesi: Bir Araştırma

Çok uluslu şirketlerin revaçta olduğu, bölgesel pazarların yerini küresel pazarların aldığı günümüz dünyasında, kurumların rekabet edebilmeleri ve varlıklarını sürdürebilmeleri için kurumsal itibar faaliyetlerine önem vermeleri, elde edilen itibarı korumaları ve kurumsal itibarı iyi yönetmeleri gerekmektedir. Bunun için kurumların, misyonlarını, vizyonlarını, hedeflerini, değerlerini, topluma yönelik performanslarını tüm sosyal paydaşlarıyla paylaşmaları ve bu şekilde toplumca kabul gören bir itibar yaratmaları artık bir zorunluluk haline gelmiştir.Halkla sürekli olarak iç içe olan ve amacı halka hizmet olan kurumların itibarı oldukça önemlidir. Kamu kurumları itibarlarını artırmanın yanı sıra bunu korumanın da gerekli olduğunu bilmelidirler. Çünkü itibar çok zor ve uzun süren çalışmalar sonucunda elde edilebilmekte ancak bunun tersine çok kolay ve kısa zamanda kaybedilebilinmektedir. Bu nedenle kazanılan iyi itibarın muhafaza edilebilmesi için mutlak surette iyi bir şekilde yönetilebilmesi gerekmektedir. Ancak bu sayede kurumlar krizlere karşı hazırlıklı olabilecek ve ileride oluşabilecek sorunlarla baş edebilecektir. Kurumların, toplum nazarında itibarının ne durumda olduğunu öğrenmeleri ancak bunun ölçülmesi ile mümkün olabilmektedir. İtibarın ölçülmesi ile kurum, gerçek itibarının ne durumda olduğunu öğrenecek, bunun korunması ya da daha ileri götürülmesi için ilave tedbirler alabilecektir. Araştırma, 70 personeli bulunan A kamu kurumunda çalışan 48 personel üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Charles J. Fombrun tarafından geliştirilen 25 sorudan oluşan kurumsal itibar ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ölçeklerden uygun olan “kesinlikle katılmıyorum” 1 , “katılmıyorum” 2 , “kararsızım” 3 , “katılıyorum” 4 ve “kesinlikle katılıyorum” 5 değerlerine karşılık gelen 5’li Likert ölçeği tekniği kullanılarak anketler hazırlanmıştır. SPSS For Windows istatistik paket programı ile geçerlilik, güvenilirlik testi yapılmış, frekans dağılımı ile faktörlerin değerlendirmesi yapılarak verilerin analizi tamamlanmıştır.Bu çalışma sonucunda; çalışanlar tarafından, kurum hakkında yeterince bilgi sahibi olduğu, kurumun güçlü olduğu, kurum iç imajının iyi seviyede olduğu, çevreye duyarlılık ve halkla ilişkilerde iyi seviyede olduğu, çalışanların diğer kurumlarla kıyaslandığında kendilerini yetenekli gördükleri düşünülmektedir. Aynı zamanda çalışanların kurumsal haberlerle ilgilenmedikleri, kurumun güçlü olmasına rağmen diğer kurumlardan farkının olmadığı, halka duyarlı olmalarına karşın çalışanlarına karşı duyarlı olmadıkları, onlara değer katmadıkları ve umursamadıkları, yöneticilerin yetenekli olduğunu ancak kurumu iyi yönetemedikleri bu nedenle de kaliteli hizmet sunamadıkları değeri de ölçümlemeler arasında yerini almıştır. Bu nedenle kamu kurumlarının bu tür olumsuz imajı kaldırma yönünde tedbirler alması gerekliliği değerlendirilmektedir. Bu araştırmanın sonucunda; A kamu kurumu çalışanlarına kurumla ilgili kurumsal itibar soruları yöneltilmiş ve kurumsal itibar ölçümü yapılarak, hem çalışanlar hem de kurum açısından kurumsal itibarın ne kadar önemli olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In today’s world where multinational companies are in reverse, regional markets are replaced by global markets, institutions need to pay attention to their corporate reputation activities in order to be able to compete and maintain their assets, to preserve the acquired reputation and to manage the corporate reputation well. For this, it has become an obligation for the institutions to share their missions, visions, goals, values, performance towards society with all social stakeholders and in this way to create a reputation that is accepted by society. Public institutions should know that in addition to increasing their reputation, it is also necessary to protect it. Because reputation is very difficult and can be achieved as a result of long-term work, but it is very easy and short-term to lose. Therefore, it is necessary to be able to be managed in an absolute manner in order to preserve the good reputation gained. However, this will allow the institutions to be prepared for crises and to deal with problems that may arise in the future. It is only possible for the institutions to learn what their reputation is in the community by measuring it. With the measurement of the reputation, the institution will learn what the real reputation is in, and will be able to take additional measures to protect it or move it further. The study was conducted on 48 employees working in a public institution with 70 employees. by Charles J. The corporate reputation scale, which consists of 25 questions developed by Fombrun, has been used. The surveys were prepared using the 5 Likert scale technique, which corresponds to the scales "I definitely do not agree" 1 , "I do not agree" 2 , "I do not agree" 3 , "I agree" 4 and "I definitely agree" 5. SPSS for Windows statistical package program is validity, reliability test, and the analysis of data is completed by making the assessment of factors with frequency distribution. The result of this study is that employees have sufficient knowledge of the institution, that the institution is strong, that the internal image of the institution is at a good level, that the environmental sensitivity and public relations are at a good level, that employees see themselves talented compared to other institutions. At the same time, the value that employees don’t care about corporate news, the institution is strong but does not differ from other institutions, they are not sensitive to their employees, they don’t add value to them and they don’t care, the managers are talented but they don’t manage the institution well and therefore they can’t provide quality service. It is therefore considered the need for public institutions to take measures to remove such a negative image. According to this study, a public institution employee was addressed to the institution’s corporate reputation questions and the corporate reputation was measured to determine how important the corporate reputation is for both employees and the institution.

Therefore, it becomes a must for coorporations to share their missions, visions, objectives and performance with all of their social stakeholders and create a reputation which is recogized by society. The reputation of institutions that are constantly intertwined with the public and whose purpose is to serve the public is very important. Public institutions should know that it is necessary to maintain their reputation as well as maintain their reputation. Because reputation can be obtained as a result of hard and long studies, but on the contrary, it can be easily and quickly lost. Therefore, in order to maintain the good reputation earned, it must be managed absolutely well. Only in this way, institutions will be able to cope with crises and deal with future problems. It is only possible for institutions to understand their reputation among the society by assessing and evaluating it. By assessing the reputation, institutions can learn their actual reputation, and diagnose addititional measures to protect or empower it. The research was carried out on 48 employees working in A public institution with 70 staff members. The corporate reputation scale consisting of 25 questions developed by Charles J. Fombrun was used. Questionnaires using the 5-point Likert scale technique, which corresponds to the values of "absolutely disagree" 1 , "disagree" 2 , "undecided" 3 , "agree" 4 and "strongly agree" 5 it was prepared. With SPSS For Windows statistical software, validity and reliability tests were made, and the frequency distribution and factors were evaluated and the analysis of the data was completed. As a result of this study; It is considered by the employees that they have sufficient knowledge about the institution, the institution is strong, the internal image of the institution is at a good level, it is at a good level in environmental awareness and public relations, and employees consider themselves talented compared to other institutions. At the same time, it is among the measurements that employees are not interested in corporate news, the institution is strong, does not differ from other institutions, are sensitive to the public despite being sensitive to the public, they are not sensitive to their employees, do not add value to them and do not care about them, that managers are talented but they cannot manage the institution well and therefore they cannot provide quality service. Therefore, it is evaluated that public institutions should take measures to remove this negative image. As a result of this research, a set of questions are asked to the employees of “A” institution about corporate reputation, and by assessing the corporate reputation, the importance of corporate reputation for employees and corporates are indetified
