Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the graduate theses carried out in Turkey on school preparation and to draw a general framework on the general situation of the theses carried out on this subject in our country. In this study, the document analysis was made and the sample of the research was determined by the standard sample method. The Board of Higher Education has formed a sample of a total of 98 thesis research, including 84 master's, 13 doctor's and 1 specialty thesis in medicine, archived by the President of the Department of Publication Documentation in the years 1994-2021. The thesis evaluation form prepared by the researcher as a data collection tool was used in the research. The research finds that the prepared master's theses related to preparation are more than the doctoral and medical specialty theses, that the theses are mostly performed at the Institute of Education Sciences and that the dissemination of the theses is not balanced over the years. The most of the theses are conducted in the Pre-School Education Anabolic Department, where the most quantitative research methods and scales are used in the theses, the most children are included in the sample group. In the theses the study of the relationship between the different variables that most influence the school preparation process and at least the study of the topics of the development of the school preparation measurement tools was achieved.
