Abstract:

A lot of local grapes are grown in Anadolu, located within the hometown area of Asman. Determination of the characteristics of these varieties is important in terms of the registration and cultivation technique of the varieties. Malta is one of the most important fruit centers in Turkey. There are many local vineyards in the province where the bondage culture is based on very ancient. One of the neighboring varieties that are cultivated in the province and with economic importance is the "Köhnü" variety. This study, conducted in the 2018-2019 years at the Malatya Straw Research Institute, identified the phenological, pomological and ampelographic characteristics of the "Köhnü" grape variety. In phenological observations in 2018 and 2019, respectively; the eyes woke up on the 27th April - 5th May, the full flowering is 5-15th June, the fall period is 10-12th August, the harvest time is 13-16th September, the leaf casting is 10-15th November, and the average EST demand is 1884 gd. In the pomological analysis, the average weight of the discharge was 348.63 g, the length of the one was 35.70 mm, the length of the one was 24.98 mm and the weight of the 100 was 416.05 g. The study found that the pH value was 21.88, the pH value was 3.70, and the TEA value was 0.50. In the ampelographic definitions made according to the OIV criteria; the outbreaks are large, the cranes are in the form of eggs, the thickness of the cortex is medium, blue-black, the fruit meat is partially hard, the core formation is complete and contains a special taste. At the end of the study; the "Köhnü" grape variety, which is considered the province food, was registered on behalf of the Directorate of the Malatya Kayı Research Institute.
