Introduction: street racing gains new fans every day in Brazil. The tests range from 800 meters to 42, 195 meters. Athletic performance in street running is observed in individuals with greater movement economy, that is, they are able to sustain low oxygen consumption at a certain rate of work. This economy takes on greater relevance during long distance runs. The runners are strategies used by coaches with the objective of improving the movement technique and simulating the phases of the run. Objective: to investigate the effect of running educators on the performance of amateur athletes. Materials and Methods: data collection was pre and post training period 12 experimental sessions, three sessions per week with an average volume of 20 km per week. The training consisted of a 5-minute organic warm-up consisting of general stretching exercises for the main muscle groups and light calisthenic exercises. Soon after, the exercise group (GE) did the educational exercises for running. The control group (CG) performed all procedures similar to the SG, except the educational exercises for running. Results: EG showed significant improvement in all variables, with an increase in maximum Vo2 (mean difference = 13.6 mL / kg.min; p = 0.001), MV (mean difference = 3 Km / h; p = 0.001), Distance (mean difference = 0.6 Km / h; p = 0.001) thus resulting in a reduction in RM (mean difference = -1.3 min / Km; p = 0.002, in addition to obtaining a direct and significant correlation in the variables of athletic performance. Conclusion: The findings in the present study indicate the effectiveness of the training protocol, since there were statistically significant improvements in all investigated variables.
