Abstract:

In order to realize quality designs that include visual and auditory values, it is necessary to conduct research on the concept of soundscape, its components, and working methods. To reveal a positive soundscape, it is very important to make a spatially correct landscape design based on acoustic principles. In this context, the “What are the components and design steps of a positive soundscape?” form of the research question. In the studies carried out so far, the focus has been on the physical design rather than the evaluation of the acoustic dimension. In this study, a framework for the evaluation and design of the soundscape is presented by examining the existing studies in the literature and the research models used in these studies. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the research revealed the necessary information and data for a positive soundscape design. As a result of the study, not only was a quantitative or qualitative method adhered to in the redesign studies for sound landscape but It has been suggested that examining the physical dimensions of voice, perceptual qualities of individuals and non-vocal factors should also be taken into account.
