Studies with the aim of determining the variations in the population of coccinellid species and these species in the southeastern Anadolu region have been carried out in 2006 and 2007 in the province of Shanlıurfa or Akçakale. Coccinellids began to form populations in the corn areas in May 2006 and in April 2007 and reached the highest population intensity in both years in the second half of August. In 2006, a total of 1653 copies and in 2007 1937 copies of coccinellid were obtained, while a total of 14 species were identified. The most obtained species and the most proportionally found species were Hippodamia (Adonia) variegata (G), followed by Coccinella undecimpunctata (L), Coccinella septempunctata (L) and Scymnus levaillanti M. respectively. These four species have shown regular population growth throughout the season, with 93.39% of all species in 2006 and 94.20% in 2007. Exochomus pubescens is a new record for the Coccinellidae fauna in Turkey. At the end of the study it was determined that coccinellids were intensely detected in the corn areas, and that they could continue their existence throughout the season.
