Abstract:

The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between university students' leisure satisfaction and digital game addiction levels and to compare them in terms of some demographic variables. The population of the research consists of 441 people, 195 female and 246 male, who were selected by easy sampling method among the students who continue their education at Yalova University and participated voluntarily. In order to collect personal information form and data, the “Leisure Satisfaction Scale” (LSS) and “Digital Game Addiction Scale for University Students” (DGAS-US) were applied to the participants. In the statistical analysis of the obtained data, percentage, frequency, arithmetic mean, Independent Groups T Test and Pearson Correlation Test were applied. As a result of the findings, it was seen that there was a negative and low-level significant relationship between LSS and DGAS-US. As a result, it was determined that the sample consisting of university students had a high level of leisure time satisfaction and a low level of digital game addiction. In addition, it was determined that as the leisure time satisfaction of the participants increased, their digital game addiction levels decreased.
