Abstract:

This research was carried out with the aim of determining the levels of inter-cultural sensitivity of university students. In this study, the method of cutting scan was used. The research was carried out with university students who studied in four different faculties in a state university during the 2018-2019 academic year. A total of 1530 university students studying in the various departments of the Faculty of Education, Technology, Literature and Sports Sciences have been included in the research process. The study used the "Intercultural Sensitivity (Global Perspective)" scale developed by Braskamp, Braskamp, Merrill and Engberg (2012) as a data collection tool and adapted by Yıldırım (2019) to Turkish. Research findings have shown that university students have high levels of intercultural sensitivity. In addition, the levels of inter-cultural sensitivity of university students vary significantly depending on gender, faculties and departments in which they study, class levels in which they study and the area in which they live with their families, while the level of education of the mother and father, the status of the mother and father's profession, the income of their families and the place in which they live, the levels of inter-cultural sensitivity of university students have not varied significantly.
