Siber Zorbalık ve Siber Mağduriyetin Sosyal Uyuma ve Bazı Demografik Değişkenlere Göre İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet düzeyleri sosyal uyum ve bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma, betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmada sosyal uyum ve alt boyutları bağımsız değişken, siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet değişkenleri ise bağımlı değişkendir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Elektrik-Elektronik Fakültesi, Eğitim Fakültesi ve Sanat ve Tasarım fakültesinde okumakta olan ve küme örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen 476 öğrenciyi kapsamaktadır. Çalışmaya katılanların siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet düzeylerini tespit etmek için “Siber Zorbalık ve Siber Mağduriyet Ölçeği”, sosyal uyum düzeylerini tespit etmek için “Hacettepe Kişilik Envanteri Sosyal Uyum Alt Boyutu” ve uygulayıcı tarafından hazırlanan “Demografik Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS programı kullanılmıştır. Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal-Wallis analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına bakıldığında, siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet düzeylerinin sosyal uyuma göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği gözlenmiştir. Sosyal uyum düzeyi arttıkça siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet düzeylerinin azaldığı söylenebilir. Ayrıca, siber zorbalık ve siber mağduriyet düzeyleri gelir, anne-baba eğitim durumu ve ebeveyn birliktelik durumuna göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken cinsiyet, online ortamda kimliğini gizleme durumu, anne-baba tutumu ve okuduğu fakülteye göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.

Review of cyber harassment and cyber victim according to social conformity and some demographic variables

Abstract:

In this study, cyber harassment and cyber victim levels have been studied according to social harmony and some variables. Research is an imaginary work. In the research, social harmony and subdimensions are independent variables, while cyber harassment and cyber victim variables are dependent variables. The sample of the study covers 476 students who are studying at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Arts and Design and selected by the mass sampling method. The study used the "Cyber Violence and Cyber Victim Scale" to identify the levels of cyber harassment and cyber victim of the participants, the "Hacettepe Personality Reserve Social Adaptation Sub-Dimension" to identify the levels of social compatibility, and the "Demographic Information Form" prepared by the applicant. SPSS program is used for data analysis. Mann Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis were analyzed. The research finds that cyber harassment and cyber victim levels differ significantly compared to social sleep. As the level of social compatibility increases, the levels of cyber harassment and cyber victim can be said to decrease. Furthermore, cyber harassment and cyber victim levels come, parents and parents don’t make any significant differences according to their educational status and their parent’s relationship status, while gender, online identity hiding status, parent’s attitude, and the faculty they study, have been found to make any significant differences according to them.

Abstract:

The aim of the study is to explain the university students' cyberbullying and cyber victimization level according to the social adjustment and certain demographic variables. The research is a descriptive study. In the study, social adjustment and sub-dimensions were discussed as an independent variable and cyberbullying and cyber victimization as dependent variables. The study group consists of 476 university students who enrolled in Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Education, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Faculty of Arts and Design and selected by cluster sampling method. “The Social Adjustment Sub-Scale in Hacettepe Personality Inventory”, “Cyber Bullying and Cyber Victimization Scale” and “Demographic Information Form” were employed to obtain study data. Analysis of Mann Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis were used in analyzing the data. According to the results of the study, it was observed that based on social adjustment, cyberbullying and cyber victimization scores of university students are significantly different. As the level of social adjustment increases, it can be said that cyberbullying and cyber victimization levels decrease. In addition, while cyberbullying and cyber victimization levels did not differ significantly according to socioeconomic status, parental education status and parental status (married or divorced), it was determined that there is a significant difference according to gender, impersonation, parental attitude and enrolled the faculty
