This study was carried out to reveal the cattle and calf breeding practices in dairy farms with 10 or more cattle in Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş province. 66% of business owners are in the middle age group (30-49 years old) and 74% are primary school graduates. 97% of business owners do not have any training on animal husbandry. The average cattle presence was 34.31 heads, the number of milking cows was 18.90 heads, and the average daily milk yield per cow was 16.44 liters. The average calf mortality rate in the farms was 7.89%, and almost all of the deaths occur in the first 30 days. It has been determined that 92% of the calves in the farms are weaned between 1 and 3 months. The rate of separate their calves from their mothers within the first 12 hours was 98%. In 96% of the farms, calves were provided with colostrum, the umbilical cord was disinfected with tincture diode and calf membranes were removed from the cow. In 77% of the farms, the calves meet their milk needs by sucking their mothers, and in 92%, roughage and concentrate feed was given to the calves after the 30th day. Water was given to the calves from the first week. The rate of diarrhea cases was 99%. In 93% of the enterprises, dehorning was not performed. The ratio of enterprises that house their calves as a group was 99%, and 82% of these enterprises housed calves and adult cattle in the same barn. As a result, it was been determined that there were technical problems in raising adult cattle and calves in the cattle enterprises operating in the Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş province, there were serious deficiencies in the procurement of animal health and health services, and the enterprises were not economically sustainable.
