Bu araştırmanın amacı, bilgisayar destekli ve proje tabanlı öğretim yöntemlerine uygun hazırlanan etkinliklerle yapılan öğretimin beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına etkisini incelemektir. Çalışmada nicel araştırma desenlerinden yarı deneysel desen tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma, 2021-2022 eğitim- öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Kayseri il merkezindeki bir ortaokulun beşinci sınıfında öğrenim gören 60 öğrenciyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada beşinci sınıf fen filimleri dersi “Işığın Yayılması” ünitesinin öğretimi öğretim programına uygun olarak beş hafta süreyde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Öğretim, kontrol grubunda ders öğretmenine müdahalede bulunmadan, deney 1 (D1) grubunda proje tabanlı öğretim ile ve deney 2 (D2) grubunda bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemi ile işlenmiştir. Verileri toplamak için araştırmada akademik başarı testi (ABT) kullanılmıştır. Uygulama öncesi ve sonrası olmak üzere akademik başarı testi, kontrol, D1 ve D2 gruplarına iki defa uygulanmıştır. Toplanan veriler normal dağılım gösterdiğinden, verilerinin analizi t-testi ve ANOVA ile yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda, D1 ve D2 grubundaki öğrencilerin son test puanlarının, kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre anlamlı düzeyde artmış olduğu görülmüştür. Proje tabanlı ve bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemi arasında istatistiksel bakımdan anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde görülmüştür ki, proje tabanlı öğretim ile bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemlerinin uygulandığı gruplardaki akademik başarı punları kontrol grubu öğrencilerine kıyasla daha fazladır. Çalışma bulguları benzer araştırmalar ile mukayese edilerek tartışılmış ve öneriler sunulmuştur.
The purpose of this research is to study the impact of teaching by activities prepared in accordance with computer-backed and project-based teaching methods on the academic achievements of fifth-class students. Half-experimental patterns were preferred from quantum research patterns. The research was conducted with 60 students who studied in the fifth class of a secondary school in the center of Kayseri in the spring period of the 2021-2022 academic year. In the research, the fifth-class science filaments course was carried out for five weeks in accordance with the teaching curriculum of the unit "Semination of Light". The teaching is processed with project-based teaching in the experiment 1 (D1) group, and in the experiment 2 (D2) group with computer-backed teaching method. The academic success test (ABT) has been used in research to collect data. Academic success test, control, before and after application, has been applied twice to the D1 and D2 groups. Since the collected data show normal distribution, the analysis of the data was done with the t-test and ANOVA. The results of the analysis showed that the final test scores of students in the D1 and D2 groups increased significantly compared to the control group students. There was no significant statistical difference between the project-based and computer-backed teaching method. The results of the analysis have shown that the academic success points in the groups where project-based teaching and computer-backed teaching methods are applied are higher than in the control group students. The findings of the study were discussed and proposed by comparing the findings with similar research.

As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the post-test scores of the students in the D1 and D2 groups increased significantly compared to the students in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference between project-based and computer-assisted teaching methods. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the academic achievement scores of the groups in which project-based teaching and computer-aided teaching methods were applied were higher than the control group students. The findings of the study were compared with similar studies and discussed and suggestions were presented.
