Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the learning styles of children aged 5-6 and the scientific process skills. According to the Nicel research method, the research designed in accordance with the relative scan model in 2017-2018 educational year participates in a total of 216 children aged 5 to 6 years, who are ongoing to the independent kindergartens and nurses in the center of the province of Bolu. The data obtained using the "Personal Information Form," "5-6-Year-Old Learning Styles Scale" and "Pre-School Scientific Process Skills Scale" were analyzed with the SPSS 22 program. Related to the skills of the scientific process of the children, the result is that the variables of age (capacity to draw results), gender (capacity to record data and draw results) and the time of continuation to school (all scientific process skills) are different. It is also found that learning styles vary according to gender. As a result, there are positive, different levels and meaningful relationships between scientific process skills and learning styles.
