Özet:

The XVIth century is a turning point in the Hungarian history during which vital developments took place for the Hungarian national history. In that century, the recurrent wars between the Ottomans and the Hungarians reached their apex and took a crucial turning. The empire of the Habsburgs was trying to dominate Hungary and seeking ways to increase its influence on that country. These historical developments are reflected in the XVIth century Hungarian literature. Sebestyén Tinódi, this most prolific poet of the XVIth century Hungarian literature, dealt with the events of his time in his works in the most spectacular way and thus informed Hungarian people of what was going on. In addition, he is the author of a number of innovations in the Hungarian literature, which brought liveliness and excitement to the Hungarian literature. The works of Tinódi, that he used to recite playing the lute, played an important part in the creation of the Hungarian national unity. A study of the lute player Sebestyén Tinódi as a literary person from the point of view of the Turkish influence on his works will contribute to bring light to the history of the time and its literary products as well as to have a better understanding of the conflicts at the frontiers and how the Hungarian people felt faced with the developments of the time
