The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the technology readiness level and personality types of the college students. In order to measure the level, The Technology Readiness Index (previously formulated by Parasuman)which consists of 18 items and was adapted by Yen based on the work of Parasuman was used. In this index the readiness levels were viewed in four dimensions: innovation, insecurity, discomfort and optimism. Besides, so as to measure the personality types of students, the scale which consists of 42 items and was adapted by Pilavcı based on the work of Holland who identified six different types of personalities like, realistic, researcher, artist, entrepreneur, social, traditional was used. The data obtained via the questionnaire was analysed by using an appropriate statistic program. As a result of modelling within the study, “optimism” factor group is ranked in the first line in readiness level and “traditional” is ranked in the first line in personality types. It was concluded that discomfort is not meaningfully associated with the other personality types, nevertheless the other items related to readiness could be explained by the ones about personality
