The Soviet writer, cinema director and actor V. M. Shsukshin was born on 25th June, 1929 as a son of a villager family. In his childhood, he worked in Soviet regime’s project Kolkhoz system, described as collective agriculture, and imposing heavy working conditions. This village life, which he had observed since his childhood, and the pressure of the regime on people and especially on villagers, compose his main theme of the writer’s works. In this study, “Red Snowball” of Shukshin, one of the outstanding authors of georgic, will be examined within the scope of sociological inspection methods according to the conditions of that period. In the light of this method, accepting literary works as reflection of social events, conditions of that period’s effect on individual and his life will be put forward.
