In this paper it is examined the effect of government consumption expenditures on private consumption expenditures with panel data analysis used data between the years of 1990 2010 in the case of 27 EU countries and Turkey It is selected that private consumption expenditures as dependent variable and government consumption expenditures population private disposable income and consumer price index as independent variables to use in the model of this paper According to the results of econometrics analysis applied it has been reached to the conclusion that Keynesian view which states that expansionary fiscal policy has expansionary effect on the aggregate demand is not valid for the set of related term and country However according to the analysis government consumption expenditures have crowding out effect on private consumption expenditures Key Words: Government consumption expenditures private consumption panel data analysis
