The mining sector is one of the sectors with the highest rate of employment accidents in the world as well. In this study, the NACE code, which shows the risk classes of economic activities within the mining sector, examined accidents in 5 different sub-sector data. In this regard, data between 2011 and 2021 are used to calculate the accident probability rate, the accident weight rate, the accident frequency rate parameters. The calculated parameters have been compared with the total sectors of Turkey, the mining sector, the mining sector, the remaining sectors. However, the trend analysis and the number of accidents between 2022-2026 were predicted using the 10 year-old data examined. The results of the analyses made in the mining sector have determined that the rate of accident frequency and accident probability in particular in other sectors and in Turkey is much higher than the average and is increasing over the years. In general, the risk of accidents of mining workers across Turkey compared to other sector workers was 6 times higher, while the risk of death due to accidents was 7 times higher. The mining activity has the highest frequency of accidents, while the activity hand is determined to be the sub-sector of coal and linyte extraction.
