Özet:The aim of this study is the determination of the effect of Elazığ municipal wastewater treatment plant effluents on the water quality of Kehli Stream. For this aim, pH and EC values and concentrations of TDS, COD, BOD5, NH4+-N, NO2--N, NO3--N and O-PO-3 were determined in the surface water samples taken from Kehli Stream before and after the wastewater discharge. The water quality class was compared with the values reported in Surface Water Quality Management Regulation (SWQMR). According to the analyses’ results, the treatment plant causes an additional pollution of 1.22, 7.52, 3.35, 1.43, 4.17, 8.34 and 9.42 fold in terms of total dissolved matter, ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, ortophosphate, COD and BOD5, respectively in Kehli Stream. As a result, it was determined by this study that Elazığ municipal wastewater treatment plant effluents were negatively effected the water quality of Kehli Stream
