Abstract:

SUMMARY The Effects of Various Dietary Levels of Cottonseed Meal Supplemented With Fiili Meals On the Eight Week Body Weight and the Feed Efficiency of Broilers An experiment was conducted to determine the maximum practical levels ofcottonseed meal supplemented with various levels of fish meals in the rations of broilers in eight-week period. Eight-week body weight and the feed efficiency were the criteria used to measure the response. ' The experiment was conducted with Hubbard broiler chicks, day-old to eight weeks of age. Chicks were ma intained in electrically heated battery brooders raised wire floors throughout the experimental periods. The experimental diets and water were supplied Ad libi(um. Completely randomized block design of dietary treatrnents involving six levels (O %, 5 %, 10 %. 20 %, 30 %, and 40 %) of cottonseed meal and and six levels (3 %, 4 %, 5 %, 6,5 %, 7 %and 10 %) of fish meals was used in the experiment. One group of sixteen male and one group of sixteen female chicks we.re assigned to eaeh of the six dietary treatments. Data pertaining to eight-week body weight and feed efficiency were subjected to analysis of varİance (Steel and Torrie, 1960). Data obtained from this experiment indicated that: ı. There wer~ no significant differences among dietary treatments relative to eight-week body weight and feed efficieney. ' 2. The lowest body weights were obtained from the ehicks receiving forty pereent of cottonseed meal in their rations. 3.. The cottonseed leve1s used in this experiment did not influenee survival of ehieks İn eight-week period.

Abstract:

SPECIAL T in a 0-8-week trial, determining the maximum cotton seed cabbage levels that can be used in my cabbage cabbage ratio without creating growth depression and this cabbage. To eliminate the lack of lysine amino acid in the fish, this amino acid is known to be zen~ gin with fish milk, a test has been drawn up with the aim of practically verifying the optimal fish milk levels that should be used in the ratio. Of the daily Hubbard broiler type dcveivs, 16 male and 16 female are randomly assigned to each of the varieties covering cotton seed cups in a variety of di1 (% 0, 5, 10% 10, 30% and 40%). The trial rations were supported by fish wheat at the levels of 3, 4, 5, 6,5, 7 and 7% LO to eliminate my lysine amino acid deficiency in the cotton seed. In this study, where the chance-related full blocks test system was applied, the rations were provided as Ad libitum and the eight-week test was carried out on the main machines heated with electricity. There are considerable differences between the groups (p < 0.05) in the use of the food during this period, and only 40% of the living weight of eight weeks in the cotton seed is fed at the lowest level. In the eight-week period, the vitality of the cows has not been affected by the levels of cotton seeds.
