İnsan söz, hareket ve biçim açısından çeşitli şekillerde uyumsuz olarak algıladığı şeylere gülmektedir. Uyumsuzlukla karşılaşma ve uyarılma anından, gülme ile sonuçlanan ana kadar insan bilişsel ve duygusal bir çaba içindedir. Çocuğu hedef alan sözlü mizahta ise çocuğun bilişsel ve duygusal gelişimine paralel olarak dil düzeyi ve kavram bilgisi önemli rol oynamaktadır. Özellikle zıt kavramlar, karşıtlıklar, mecazlar, benzetmeler, deyimler, uyaklı sözler, yalanlar, ironiler, fıkra ve bilmeceler çocuk mizahında çocuğun bulunduğu yaş evresine uygun şekillerde kullanılabilirler. Çocuklar kendi aralarında argo, müstehcen ve “tuvalet esprileri” olarak adlandırılan mizaha fazlasıyla ilgi göstermektedirler. Ancak kitap ve televizyon gibi sözsel, görsel ve işitsel mecraların içeriklerinden sorumlu olan denetleyiciler, “çocuğu korumaya yönelik” bir refleksle bu türden mizahı kullanmamaktadırlar. Mizahı anlamlandırma süreci bilişsel ve duygusal bir süreç olduğundan, ilk olarak çocuk mizahının bilişsel ve duygusal zekâ temelinde işleyişi üzerinde durulmuştur. Özellikle çocuk tiyatrosu ve çocuk yazını mecralarında ürünler verecek olanlara ipuçları sunmayı amaçlayan bu çalışmada, mizahın sözlü formu ele alınmış; dolayısıyla çocukta gelişim evrelerine bağlı olarak dil kazanımları incelenmiştir. Çocuğun dil kazanımlarının hangi türden sözlü mizah için ne ölçüde yetkinlik sağladığı tartışılmıştır.
Man laughs to what he perceives in various ways in terms of word, movement and form. From the moment of encounter and awakening of incompatibility to the moment resulting in laughter, man is in a cognitive and emotional effort. In the oral humor targeting the child, language level and conceptual knowledge play an important role parallel to the child’s cognitive and emotional development. Specifically contradictory concepts, contradictions, mosques, comparisons, phrases, sleepy words, lies, ironies, jokes and wisdom can be used in a way that fits the age stage in which the child is in the child's humor. Children are too much interested in the humor, which is called argo, mystehcen and "toilet joke" among themselves. But the supervisors, who are responsible for the content of verbal, visual and hearing mechanisms such as books and television, do not use this kind of humor with a reflection "to protect the child". Since the process of understanding the mixture is a cognitive and emotional process, it first focuses on the functioning of child's humor on the basis of cognitive and emotional intelligence. In this study, which aims to provide clues to those who will give products in the children's theater and children's literature, the oral form of humor has been addressed; therefore, language achievements have been studied depending on the developmental stages of the child. It is discussed how skillful the child's language achievements provide for the kind of oral humour.
