Abstract:

Purpose: The diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis plays an important place in the prevention of osteoporosis fractures. While this diagnosis is a commonly used method of BMD, behavior, muscle functions and calcium balance are also indirectly effective in the formation of osteoporotic fractures of vitamin D, which provides the cycle of the bone structure; but we have tried to evaluate the effect of this effect on the formation of the type of column fractures. Method: The BMD and 25-OH vitamin D3 values of all patients placed in service with 20 intertrocanterial and 20 colum femoris fractures diagnosed after low-energy trauma were measured. Results: 25-OH vitamin D was found at an average of 10.42 in patients with intra-canterial femur break, and 24.84 in patients with collum femoris break. The result: Osteoporotic, if the diagnosis and treatment of vitamin D deficiency in elderly patients is carried out, intertrocanteric column fractures may be less visible than colum femoris fractures.
