Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Genel Uyum Düzeylerinin Sosyo-Demografik Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinin uyum düzeylerinin, cinsiyet, yaş, sınıf, anne eğitim durumu, baba eğitim durumu, bireyin yaşamının büyük bir bölümün geçirdiği yer ve kendisini algıladığı sosyoekonomik durum değişkenleri açısından istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark gösterip göstermediğini incelemektir. Araştırma modeli, ilişkisel araştırma yöntemi ile tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni Siirt Üniversitesinde 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında dört yıllık fakültelerde öğrenim gören öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi oran tabakalı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 950 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri Hacettepe Kişilik Envanteri (HKE) ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılarak toplanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi Bağımsız Örneklemler için t testi, Kruskal-Wallis testi, Tek Faktörlü Anova kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kız ve erkek öğrencilerin genel uyum düzeyi arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin genel uyum düzeyi, yaş grubu 26-+ ve 21-25 olanların lehine 18-20 yaş grubundakilerle anlamlı olacak şekilde farklılaşmaktadır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin genel uyum düzeyi, kendilerini algıladıkları sosyoekonomik düzey iyi ve orta olanların lehine kötü grubuyla anlamlı olacak şekilde farklılaşmaktadır. Anne eğitim düzeyi okuryazar ve lise olan üniversite öğrencilerinin genel uyum düzeyi, okuryazar olmayanlara göre anlamlı olacak şekilde yüksek bulunmuştur. Baba eğitimi düzeyine göre, üniversite öğrencilerinin genel uyum düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Sınıf düzeyine göre, üniversite öğrencilerinin genel uyum düzeyi arasında anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır. Yaşamınızın büyük bir bölümünü geçirdiğiniz yerleşim yeri değişkenine göre, üniversite öğrencilerinin genel uyum düzeyleri arasında anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır.

Review of university students' general adaptation levels in terms of socio-demographic variables

The aim of this study is to study whether the level of conformity of university students, gender, age, class, mother education status, father education status, the place where a large part of the individual’s life is spent and the socio-economic status variables he perceives, shows a statistically meaningful difference. The research model is designed by the relative research method. The universe of research consists of students studying in the four-year faculty in the 2017-2018 educational year at Siirt University. The sample of the study consists of 950 students selected by the sample method of the ratio layer. The data of the study was collected using the Hacettepe Personality Inventory (HKE) and Personal Information Form. Data analysis was carried out using the t test for independent samples, the Kruskal-Wallis test, the single-factor Anova. According to the results of the study, there was no significant difference between the overall level of compatibility of girls and boys students. The overall level of conformity of university students differs in such a way that it will be meaningful for those of the age group 26-+ and 21-25 with those of the age group 18-20. The overall level of conformity of university students differs in such a way that the socio-economic level they perceive will be meaningful for the good and the middle of the bad group. The mother’s level of education has been found to be so high that the overall level of compatibility of the university students who are readers and high school students will be meaningful compared to those who are not readers. According to the father's level of education, there was no significant difference between the general level of conformity of university students. According to the class level, there was no significant difference between the general level of conformity of university students. Depending on the location variable you’ve spent a large part of your life, there’s no meaningful difference between the general level of compatibility of university students.

The aim of this study is to analyze whether there is a statistically significant difference in terms of university students’ adjustment levels according to the variables such as gender, education level of father and mother, the location where the individual spent most of his/her life and finally the perceived socio-economic condition by the student himself/herself. The research model of this study was relational research method. The participants were the students at various departments in Siirt university, all in four year education in 2017-2018 educational years. 950 students were chosen according to proportional stratified sampling method. The data collection tools were two forms, one scale called Hacettepe Personality Inventory and Individual background information. The collected data was analyzed by performing Independent sample T-test, Kruskal-Waliis test and Single Factoral ANOVA test. According to the findings and results of the study, there appeared no significant difference between the girls and boys in terms of their general adjustment levels. The adjustment levels of university students showed differences in favour of 26+ and 21-25 age group and statistically significant difference for 18-20 age groups. The general adjustment levels of university student showed difference in favor of perceived good and average socioeconomic conditions and statistically significant difference for low level socioeconomic condition. The adjustment level of university students whose mothers are literate or high school graduate was statistically significant compared to those whose mothers were not educated. There was not a significant difference among university students as for the literacy levels of their fathers in terms of their adjustment levels and nor was there any difference in terms of their grade levels and there was no difference among them according to the location variable where they spent most of their lives.
