Purpose: This study was carried out to identify the levels and factors affecting the safety measures against household accidents of mothers with children aged 0-6 years. The study was conducted between May and June 2019 with the mother of 334 children who were treated in children’s clinics in a university hospital in the north of Turkey. The data collection used the Identifying Information Form and the "Definition Measure of Safety Measures for Homeless Accidents of Mothers with a 0-6-Year-Old Child". The data assessment used numbers, percentage, average, standard deviation and median, two independent sampling t tests, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) and Tukey tests. 24% of mothers. 6 of the children who suffered an accident in the house and the form of the accident in the house was estimated to have a decline of 64.6%. The scale of recognition of maternal safety measures against household accidents is the total score average of 162.00±22.22. It has been found that the mother’s age, educational status and the child’s previous accident have affected the level of recognition of the mother’s safety measures against household accidents (p<0.05). The result: the levels of recognition of the safety measures of the mothers against household accidents have been high. As the age and education levels of mothers increase, the level of recognition of safety measures against household accidents has increased.
